MFA Communications Design - 2012

I was born in the small market town of Aylesbury in the United Kingdom. I studied fine art painting as an undergraduate at Bath University and then moved to London to work in the publishing industry.

I spent my early career driving around museums and art bookshops telling store owners what books they should stock. I later spent some time at a small art publisher helping to decide what books we should commission.

My wonderful wife dragged me to her hometown of New York City where I am currently pursuing my MFA.

The word resonance has many definitions, in graphic design the word is usually used in a subjective sense. Conversely, in physics, resonance is objective and demonstrable. I aim to equalize the various definitions of the single term resonance and push its multiple passive descriptors into a single active methodology.
